Shania Twain, de son vrai nom, Eilleen Regina Edwards, est née le 28 août 1965 à Windsor (Canada).
Son père l'abandonne alors qu'elle est encore bébé et sa mère refait sa vie avec un Amérindien Ojibwa du nom de Jerry Twain.
